Reading regularly
Research shows that those who read widely and regularly achieve better outcomes and we encourage everyone to read for at least 20 minutes a day. Sometimes it can be a challenge to find time or a quiet space to read, but we would encourage everyone, of any age, to persevere. Whether a paperback, hardback, e-book, magazine or newspaper, there are subjects and stories out there for everyone.
Whatever age you are, we hope that you will find books you enjoy on our recommended reading lists below.
'I have recently read 'Girl, Woman, Other' by Bernadine Evaristo. I thought it was a uniquely told, inspiring tale of the lives of twelve women. Evaristo has weaved their stories together in an honest and original narrative which spans across generations. A fantastic read!' Mrs Voss, English Teacher

- Better writing skills
- Reduces stress

- Memory improvement and better focus.

In March 2020, just prior to lockdown, our Readathons raised over £1,000 for Read for Good, taking our total raised for this worthwhile charity to over £14,000. Read more...
