Anti Bullying
Anti Bullying Week
Cirencester Deer Park School is an inclusive, comprehensive school with high expectations for all our pupils. Each pupil has the right to an education free from fear and intimidation: bullying is not tolerated in any form. In order to ensure that no pupil should suffer in this way, communication between home and school is very important. We also encourage pupils to disclose and discuss incidents of bullying behaviour to a member of staff so that issues can be dealt with, the vast majority of our pupils are unaffected by bullying behaviour.

Each November Anti Bullying Week happens in schools across England. This year's Anti Bullying Week (Monday 11 - Friday 15 November 2019) theme from the Anti-Bullying Alliance, a coalition of organisations and individuals that are united against bullying, is Change Starts With Us.
"Small change. Big difference.
Whether it is verbal, physical, online or in-person, bullying has a significant impact on a child’s life well in to adulthood. By making small, simple changes, we can break this cycle and create a safe environment for everyone. Because together, we can challenge bullying. Change starts with a conversation. It starts with checking in. It starts with work together.
Change starts here.
Change starts now.
Change starts with us."

Advice for Parents:
Starting in October 2019 and over the period of six months, our Key Stage 3 pupils are being visited by the Gloucestershire Constabulary’s Schoolbeat Officer (SBO), Leah Davis. Leah will be delivering two lessons on a variety of age appropriate topics to each Global Citizenship class of pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9.
The lessons have been created by the Constabulary and Lead Teachers from Gloucestershire Healthy Living and Learning (GHLL) and will help pupils learn about, for example, internet safety and other risks, including sexting.
