Multi Activities Skills Successes Initiative Variety Excitement
53 pupils participated in the M-A-S-S-I-V-E programme for Enrichment Week 2019. Pupils followed an exciting week of varying activities on the school site and several trips out of school.
On Monday we travelled to Far Peak in Northleach, where pupils rotated through Bouldering, Climbing on the outdoor 10m wall, Archery and a Low Ropes course. Some found the activities challenging but demonstrated a great amount of resilience and all pupils completed these.
Tuesday was a school-based day and participants were divided into two groups, which changed over after lunch. Pupils designed and printed a t-shirt of their choice which they could then take home, whilst the other group were learning various circus skills, including juggling, tightrope walking and unicycling.
On Wednesday we were off site again. Pupils were taken to the Cotswold Water Park to participate in a treasure hunt round the lakes and tackle a 16km bike ride in and around South Cerney.
We had another busy day an Thursday, with the morning spent visiting the RAU Harnhill Manor Farm, learning about farm life including pigs, cows, arable farming and the machinery used on the farm. The afternoon was spent at Airborne Trampoline Park in Cheltenham where pupils bounced to their heart’s content!
On Friday morning, pupils were back in school for various sporting activities including football, trampolining, badminton and tennis. A fun-packed afternoon was spent at Cirencester Outdoor Pool.
We were lucky this year with the sun shining all week. Pupils behaved impeccably throughout the week and should be commended for their efforts they demonstrated in each and every activity.
