Primary School District Athletics

On Wednesday 6 June 2018, Cirencester Deer Park School successfully hosted the Primary District Athletics event. The following schools took part with their Year 3 to Year 6 pupils: Stratton, Powell’s, Chesterton, Sapperton, Kemble and Siddington.
The event was organised by PE teacher Mr Cumming with the (new) Year 9 Young Leaders and (new) Year 10 Games Captains. It was the first Primary School sport event for many of the Young Leaders and Games Captains , but none the less they still all had assigned roles which they executed perfectly.

The events were brilliant, ranging from speed bounce to skipping. We had 50m and 600m running, skipping and relay, throwing, speed bounce, triple jump and long jump.
It was a fun, jam-packed three hours for the Young Leaders and Games Captains who did an outstanding job. Not to mention Mr Cummings, who was fantastic!
