Mock Exams
Our Year 11 pupils have started tackling their mock examinations.
These mock exams represent a vital part of the preparation process ahead of the final GCSE examinations in the Summer of 2017. Not only will the outcomes provide an important barometer for pupils to gauge their progress, but the mock timetable itself offers our young people an insight into the workload they will have during May and June, whilst also offering the opportunity to trial run their revision techniques and test out the effectiveness of their revision timetables.
Subject teachers are the best source of information for pupils wishing to confirm and clarify examination boards, subject-specific information and the location of helpful resources. Pupils should access iDeer for past papers and guidance, whilst GCSE Bitesize and GetRevising are useful generic online resources.
Pupils will appreciate and benefit from all the support you can offer them at home, with a quiet place to sit and study being of crucial importance to their preparations.
They have the full support of all the Key Stage 4 Pastoral team and we wish them the very best of luck for the next few weeks!
Results will be published for the pupils on Friday 6 January.
