Seasonal Greetings
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
As we break for the Christmas holiday on Friday, 20 December 2024, it’s a perfect moment to reflect on another busy and rewarding term.
Our pupils have had a wealth of opportunities across all year groups, including the Careers Convention, GCSE Geography field trips to Durdle Door and Bristol, Year 7, Year 10 and Year 11 Learning Conferences, Year 9 Financial Awareness Day, the GCSE History trip to Berlin, and the Celebration of Achievement Evening for our Class of 2024. We’ve also had exciting launches for Enrichment Week 2025, the Nicaragua 2026 Trip and the Talent Show which will be on stage in February 2025.
We wanted to take a moment to express our thanks to parents and carers for your continued support and to our pupils for their enthusiasm and hard work over this term. Year 11 have completed their mock exams and are to be commended on their conduct throughout this period. They will get their results on Friday 10 January 2025.
For many of us in school, the official start of Christmas is marked by the School Carol Service, and this year did not disappoint. We were treated to a wonderful variety of performances, with both pupils and staff taking part. The audience joined in with traditional carols throughout the evening. One parent wrote to say how much they enjoyed the concert, commenting: “There was so much content of such a high standard, and it was clear that the children (and staff) were absolutely loving being a part of it.” Read more...
Our Christmas Jumper Day, which coincided with Christmas Lunch on Thursday 19 December, the penultimate day of term, provided a wonderful opportunity for our school community to generously donate to Cirencester Foodbank. Thank you all.
We wish all our pupils, staff, and families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school refreshed and ready to continue their journey of learning on Tuesday 7 January (Week 2) at 8.50am.
