Leavers' Ball 2024
Celebrating with our Class of 2024
The Class of 2024 marked the end of their time at Cirencester Deer Park School in grand style on Friday 28 June 2024. Blessed with glorious late June weather and an expectant audience at the front of school, the arrival of each pupil to the Leavers' Ball was greeted with cheers, not solely for the evening’s exclusive celebrations but also for the past 5 years and our pupils' recent efforts through the GCSE exams period.
From giant tractors to super cars, from golf carts to stretch limousines, from shoe leather to scrambler bikes, our Class of 2024 arrived with purpose and panache, decked out in their finest. Never have so many shirts been tucked in.
The atmosphere throughout the evening mirrored the Summer evening - warm smiles and shining eyes in abundance. And the moves on the dance floor were smooth (mainly).
Mrs Stubbs, their Year Leader, commented: 'The Class of 2024 were out of this world!!! They arrived in style, looked absolutely marvellous and had the best time! They truly celebrated their time here at Deer Park, with their hard work and studies all but forgotten for a while. I am a very proud Year Leader and enjoyed celebrating with them. I wish them all the very best for the future, wherever their next steps take them. Stay safe and be happy.'
Huge thanks to the Deer Park staff team who pulled everything together for this special event. It happens each year but the efforts behind the scenes, whilst juggling with day jobs, are phenomenal. Chapeau to Miss Walford, Mrs Godwin and our site team in particular.
Mr Clutterbuck, Headteacher, drew on the magnificent words of James Joyce from Finnegans Wake: 'They lived and laughed and loved and left.'
