INTO Nature
If you go down to the woods...
On Thursday 14 July 2022, a small group of intrepid (new) Year 8s visited the forest school Into Nature in woods near Cirencester, along with Mrs Hobson (Year Leader) and Mr Grant (Site Manager). The group took part in a variety of activities including foraging for kindling and building a fire together, woodland games, den building, roasting apples over the fire and enjoying a moment of mindfulness.
'It was wonderful to see our pupils' confidence grow over the session. Most of them would not have worked together before and it was great to see them communicate and work together as a team to build the shelter and support each other throughout our time in the woods.' Mrs Hobson, Year 8 Year Leader
Lucy declared the experience as 'great', with the den building being their favourite activity. Stanley thought it was an 'explorative experience' as they shared a moment of peace lying in hammocks getting lost in thought.
All agreed that it was a fantastic experience that they would love to do again. Mr Grant commented that he enjoyed the experience, especially the den building, and would love to make another visit to Into Nature.
