School Closure
Due to Storm Eunice, learning will be remote on Friday 18 February 2022
We have been following the news and weather with interest. We are concerned to ensure everyone’s safety. Therefore, following an assessment of the risks this afternoon, we have taken the exceptional decision to close the school to pupils and staff tomorrow, Friday 18 February 2022.
Storm Eunice is expected to bring significantly high winds (75mph+) tomorrow morning between 7:00-12:00.
There is now a rare Red weather warning in place. Gloucestershire County Council have advised us that their supported school transport services will not be running. The Cotswold Green services from Stroud and Nailsworth will not be running either.
We are therefore switching to remote learning. Teachers will set relevant and purposeful work for each lesson they would normally teach tomorrow in SMHW. The lesson material will be tailored to the circumstances. Please ensure your child logs in, follows their timetable and completes the work.
