Non Uniform Day
Raising funds for Anthony Nolan, in memory of a former Deer Park pupil
On Monday 27 September 2021 we held our first Non Uniform Day of the academic year, with pupils paying £1 in advance or £2 on the day for a ticket to take part. Our Year 10 Vice Presidents visited tutor groups, during tutor time, in the run-up to the event, to sell tickets, whilst tutors and pastoral staff supported the collection of donations.
Our thanks to everyone who helped us raise £1033.80 for the Anthony Nolan charity, in memory of a former Deer Park pupil, whose birthday it would have been on Monday 27 September.
Anthony Nolan helps save the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders. You can help by:
- Joining the stem cell register
- Fundraising
- Giving money.
For someone with blood cancer or a blood disorder, a stem cell transplant from a matching donor could be their last chance of survival. We encourage everyone, no matter their age, to think about how we live in a society and what each of us can do to help others. Always be curious and find out more.
Each year at Cirencester Deer Park School we aim to support local, national and international charities. For example, we often support Cirencester Foodbank and Save the Children at Christmas. Our pupils at Deer Park take an active and ambitious approach to charity work and quickly build an understanding that some people need more help than others across the world. As an outward facing international school that is firmly rooted in the local community, we encourage pupils to take every opportunity to involve themselves in events that benefit others and that help increase their understanding of life both in Britain and in a global community.
