The Friends Thank You!
Happy New Year from the Friends of Deer Park
The Friends of Deer Park Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank parents for their support so far this academic year.
"Whether you joined us at the Quiz Evening, signed up to Easyfundraising, bought refreshments at one of our many school events, donated second hand uniform, or dedicated time to help out at one of our events... we thank you!"
The Friends have raised nearly £1,500 for the school in just 4 months and have have been able to provide a range of financial support to various Faculties. For example, a microscope camera for Science, craft resources for Pastoral, a portable gazebo for PE and Growth Mindset resources for all pupils in Year 7 and Year 8.
This coming term will be busy, supporting school events such as the Expressive Arts production of Grease the musical (Wednesday 26 to Saturday 29 February), parents' evenings, second hand uniform sales and primary school sporting events. We are always looking for volunteers, so if you can spare an hour to help us (no other commitment is necessary), please check out our events calendar below or email us.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 14th January 2020, in the school library at 6.30pm. Come along and find out what exciting things we have planned for the New Year!
Easyfundraising
Did you know that you can raise vital funds for The Friends of Deer Park School when you shop online? It's simple to set up. Just visit www.easyfundraising.org.uk and register ‘Friends of Deer Park School Cirencester’ as your good cause. The more people who sign up, the more we’ll raise, so do tell your friends and family.
Just before you start shopping online, go to the easyfundraising website or mobile app first. From there you can access the participating retailers, which include Amazon, John Lewis, Argos, Next, Tesco, M&S, eBay and many more. A donation will be made to The Friends of Deer Park School. It’s free and simple to use, and anyone can sign up, including family and friends, so do share! All donations received will go towards enriching initiatives for pupils at Deer Park.
Secondhand Uniform
If you have items of outgrown or no longer needed school uniform (in good and clean condition), please send in to Reception, clearly marked FAO Friends of Deer Park. We have two confirmed dates for Secondhand Uniform Sales: Wednesday 26 February (before the first night of the musical Grease) and Thursday 9 July (Year 6 Induction Evening) 2020.
