Plastic Waste

Humanities Faculty focuses on plastic

The theme for the Humanities Faculty in Focus during February 2019 is Plastic Waste. Plastic is a massive environmental concern, affecting us all. During the week prior to half term, History teacher Mr Ferne shared some solutions to Plastic Waste in his assemblies.

The Humanities Faculty is running a Plastic Waste Solution Competition and we are encouraging all our pupils to  participate. They are challenged to come up with solutions to the issue of plastic waste - in the form of a written report or they can create a piece of plastic upcycling. There will be separate prizes for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. All entries should be submitted to the Humanities Office by Friday 1 March, which makes this potentially a really interesting half term activity.
