Primary Multi-Skills
Multi-Skills activities for Year 3 and Year 4 pupils.
Report from Ethan C, Year 9 Young Leader
On Monday 1 October 2018, Cirencester Deer Park School hosted a Primary Schools Multi-Skills Event for 80 local pupils in Years 3 and 4. We had a great turnout of schools including Powell’s, Stratton, Chesterton, Sapperton and Kemble.
This amazing event was run by Mr Cumming, Deer Park PE Teacher and Primary Sports Coordinator, and his team of Year 9 Young Sports Leaders and took place on our artificial playing surface, aka The Astro.
Our Young Leaders worked in groups to create activities for the pupils. We had Netball Passing, Netball Shooting, Hockey Dribbling, Hockey Shooting, Obstacle Course, Tag Rugby, Football Penalties and Benchball.
The event went very smoothly and, like always, the Young Leaders had specific roles which they executed perfectly. It was a jam-packed evening with loads of fun and success.
“I really enjoyed it today and Benchball was my favourite stand.” Pupil from Powell’s
“It was a great evening and all the rotas were explained perfectly and I knew what to do at each of them.” Chesterton pupil
