We invite parents and carers of our Year 10 and Year 11 pupils to an exciting Learning Conference with guest speaker Tim Benton, author of The Brain Box.
Year 10 and 11 Learning Conference for Parents

Visiting Speaker: Tim Benton, Author of ‘The Brain Box’
We are delighted to be welcoming Tim Benton to Deer Park on Wednesday 19 September. Tim is the author of the book ‘The Brain Box’ and has worked with Deer Park pupils in previous years, helping them to understand the best ways to establish good learning habits, strong self-motivation whilst juggling life as well. Tim will be working with all of our Year 10 and Year 11 pupils, leading a Learning Conference with them during the day.
In addition, at 6.30pm on Wednesday 19 September, we are offering parents the opportunity to hear from Tim at our Year 10 and Year 11 Parents' Learning Conference. He will share with you, as parents, some of the strategies he encouraged your son/daughter to consider earlier in the day, in addition to giving you some tips on how best to support your young people through their GCSEs.

We have been able to negotiate a deal with the publishers of ‘The Brain Box’ and we are offering the book to all pupils in Years 10 and 11 for a reduced price of £5 (instead of the RRP price of £9.99). If you would like to purchase this book for £5, please pay through WisePay, under ‘General Payments’. We hope to have the books available for collection on the day of the Learning Conference. If not, they will be distributed directly to the pupils.
