Raising money for Children in Need and showcasing the talents of our pupils, our Talent Show springs on to the stage this week.

Shows start at 7pm. Doors open 6.40pm. Each of the Heats on Wednesday and Thursday will feature over 20 acts. The Final on Friday will include the acts that successfully made it through the heats, plus, of course, the amazing staff band! All pupils will be singing, dancing, playing and showcasing their talents in the hope of becoming a Talent Show 2016 winner.

The Talent Show is a very special event for me and this year's will be our tenth! I initiated the first show at Deer Park for the BBC's 'Children in Need' in 1998 and I am always thrilled by the variety of the acts that come forward and impressed by the commitment pupils make to being the best they can be! I am grateful to colleagues in our Expressive Arts and Technician Teams for the time they put into making so much of the magic happen.

Tickets on sale at school - from the Atrium at break and from Reception at lunchtime and after school.

I’m really looking forward to this year’s Talent Show.  I am always amazed by some of the outstanding performances seen every time we hold the Talent Show and I’m sure this year will be no different.  I am certain it is going to be great fun, whilst raising money for a really worthy cause.
