Talent Show 2025 Launch

Launching the Deer Park Talent Show 2025

Talent Show 2022

Our Expressive Arts Faculty are very excited to launch Talent Show 2025, but with a few changes this year! This biennial event, open to all Deer Park pupils, is a three-night spectacle across one week, raising money for charity. The event, which usually takes place in November and coincides with BBC Children in Need, will now take place in February 2025, after half term, and will raise money for a local Cirencester-based charity.

Important Dates:

  • Application deadline: Friday 10 January 2025
  • Technical Rehearsal: Sunday 23 February 2025
  • Heat 1: Wednesday 26 February 2025
  • Heat 2: Thursday 27 February 2025
  • Final: Friday 28 February 2025

In November assemblies, pupils were told to start thinking about what they could do and to begin rehearsing ready for February!

Abi in Year 7 said ‘I am really intrigued! I am undecided on whether I will take part or not yet, but I am open to the opportunity of it! I am excited to watch one night and see all of the talented people at Deer Park! I hear it is a great event.’

Previous acts have involved pupils performing musical instruments, magic tricks and gymnastics, as well as bands, unicyclists and even dancing dogs! The acts can be in groups, pairs or solo items and pupils will be judged in Key Stage 3 and 4 categories, with an overall Talent Show winner.

Rufus in Year 8 said ‘I have taken part in Talent Shows before, but not a Deer Park one! From what I hear, it is a big, impressive event. I have got involved with events at school before and recently played with my band in Party in the Park, which was pretty cool, so I think we will get involved.’

Pupils can enter the Talent Show online via the Expressive Arts website, accessible through RM Unify. The tickets will go on sale via Ticketsource after the Talent Show application deadline, once all acts have been allocated a heat night.

Mrs Gleed, Head of Expressive Arts, said 'We really enjoy working on the Talent Show as it brings in a range of pupils, not necessarily our singers or dancers, but pupils who might be comedians, DJ's, or magicians!'  This event showcases so many children at the school, it’s such a fantastic experience for them. So many pupils surprise you with what they can do!’
