Mathematical Summer
As you will be aware from recent news items, there is a renewed focus across the country with regards to pupils’ progress in Maths and English. In order to support your son/daughter’s understanding of Maths, our Maths Faculty have set all pupils some Summer holiday homework.
We recognise that the very best thing that your child can do to retain and build upon their Maths understanding is to spend regular time at home recapping topics that have previously been covered at school. Teachers will be setting individual tasks, however the majority will be doing one or more of the documents below.
Continuing the mathematical theme, our English Summer Reading lists include some books recommended from our Maths Faculty, such as How Long is a Piece of String by Rob Eastaway and Jeremy Wyndam and Murderous Maths of Everything by Poskitt Kjartan. Have a look at our lists if you and your children are looking for something different to read this summer. Read more...
