Immersive Holocaust Testimony Experience

Learning about the people and places of the holocaust through virtual reality

This week Mr Ferne arranged a unique experience for our new Year 11s, allowing them to connect with the experience of an actual holocaust survivor.

He tells us:

“On Monday 13th July, 68 new Year 11 Historians had the opportunity to engage with the Holocaust Education Trust Testimony 360. Using VR headsets and an interactive testimony, pupils had the opportunity to explore the life of Susan Pollack. Looking at key moments in her life before the Holocaust, during the Second World War, and life after liberation, pupils examined Susan’s testimony in an innovative and powerful way. Throughout both sessions pupils were a credit to themselves and the school and our experts from the Holocaust Education Trust were impressed with their maturity and brilliance.”
