Huge congratulations from everyone at Cirencester Deer Park School to our ‘Class of 2026’ for their GCSE results. These young people have worked incredibly hard throughout their time with us and should be immensely proud of everything they have achieved. They have been a wonderful year group and have made their families, teachers and wider school community exceptionally proud.
- 81% secured 5 or more standard passes (grades 9-4)
- 74% secured 5 or more standard passes (grades 9-4) including English and Maths
- 82% of pupils attained standard passes in English
- 80% of pupils attained standard passes in Maths
- 77% attained the ‘basics’ at 9-4 (English and Maths combined)
- 21% of all grades awarded were the top grades 9-7
- 28 pupils (15%) achieved 5 or more of the top grades (9-7)
These results reflect the determination, resilience and ambition shown by our students over the last five years. Whether achieving the very highest grades, overcoming personal challenges, or securing the qualifications needed for their next steps, every student has a story to celebrate today.
The Class of 2026 has made a lasting contribution to life at Deer Park. They have been excellent ambassadors for the school, embodying our values through their kindness, respect, integrity and commitment to others. They have enriched our community not only through their academic achievements, but also through their involvement in sport, the arts, student leadership, charitable work and the many opportunities school life offers.
As they collect their results and prepare for the next stage of their education and careers, they leave us with every reason to be optimistic about their futures. Whether progressing to sixth form, college, apprenticeships or other exciting pathways, they do so equipped with the knowledge, skills and character needed to succeed.
For some students, today may not have brought every result they hoped for. However, success is never defined by a single set of grades. The perseverance, determination and resilience developed during their time at Deer Park will continue to serve them well, and there are many different routes to achieving future ambitions. We encourage every student to look ahead with confidence and excitement for what comes next.
Finally, we would like to thank our dedicated staff for the skill, passion and care they bring to their work every day. Their unwavering support, encouragement and expertise have helped guide our students to this point, and these results are a reflection of the strong partnerships between pupils, families and staff.
Today is a day to celebrate. We are enormously proud of the Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished. We wish every one of them the very best for the future and look forward to hearing about their continued successes in the years ahead.
