Miss Faux tells us about a special concert that brought together musicians from throughout the community.
“A fantastic musical evening took place on Saturday evening in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity. Cirencester guitar group, The Corinium Players, hosted a wonderful evening of music, singing, raffles, and cakes!
Our own DP Singers were invited to take part and performed alongside the guitar group and Powell’s Primary School, as well as delivering some performances of our own. Audience feedback mentioned our DP Singers’ performances as moving and having a lovely mature sound with our own arrangement of Budapest. Megan in Year 11 also performed a beautiful piano solo—a Debussy piece which captivated the audience from the start. We are very grateful to have been invited to join this special event and help with raising money for a very special cause.
DP Singers are now in full Christmas mode preparing for the Expressive Arts Carol Service on Tuesday 15th December.”
